Documents Needed for an Accounts Submission
What documents may be needed for an accounts submission?
To submit your accounts, complete the accounts task from the Inbox section of your account. The submission flow guides you through sections asking for company information and the relevant documents to upload.
Common documents
- Property purchase contract
- Completion statement
- Evidence of property purchase funds
- Mortgage statements
- Rental statements
- Expenses or receipt documents
For first annual submissions
In addition to the common documents above, your first annual submission may also require:
- Purchase-related payment evidence, such as receipts or bank statements for:
- Legal fees
- Sourcing fees
- Deposits
- Reservation fees
- Exchange of contracts document
- Completion statement (if not already provided above)
What should you do if you do not have a required document?
If a section asks for a document you do not have and have never had, upload a blank placeholder document for that section and continue with the accounts task. Do not skip the section, as this may prevent submission.
How do you complete the accounts task?
- Log in to your account.
- Go to the Inbox section.
- Open the submit accounts task.
- Work through each section in the submission flow.
- Upload the documents requested.
- Continue through the task even if some sections require an empty document file.
What happens after you submit the documents?
Once submitted, your accountant will review the documents and contact you if any further information is required. You do not need to take any further action unless contacted.
