How do I transfer money out of my Financial Account?

You can make payments to any UK account directly from your business account

You can send funds from your Financial Account to external recipients or transfer money between your GetGround companies. Follow the steps below depending on the type of payment.

Paying a New Recipient (UK account)

  1. Go to the ‘Accounts’ section from the menu.

  2. Select the 'Send money' option. 

  3. Choose the financial account to send from.

  4. Click ‘To someone new’.

  5. Enter the payee’s:

    • Full name

    • Account number

    • Sort code

     

  6. Click ‘Save payee and continue’.

  7. Enter the amount and reference for the payment.

  8. Click ‘Next’.

  9. You’ll be prompted to enter a security code from either:

    • SMS

    • Google Authenticator

     

  10. Review the payment and confirm using the code provided.

💡 Tip: Add a note, category or document to your payment — this helps our accounts team with reconciliation when preparing your company’s year-end accounts.

 

Transferring Between Your GetGround Companies

  1. Go to the ‘Accounts’ section on the menu.

  2. Select the account you’d like to transfer from.

  3. Click ‘Send money’, and choose the 'Send from [Your company name]'. 

  4. Enter the amount and reference.

  5. Click ‘Next’.

  6. Review the transfer and confirm with your security code.

Can I make a transfer to an overseas account?

Unfortunately, your company account only supports outgoing transfers within the UK. To make an outgoing international transfer, you will need to use a third-party service such as Wise or Monito.

To give you an idea of how this would work, you will need to do the following:

  1. Open a third party transfer service account
  2. Open a UK wallet with that provider
  3. Transfer the funds from your business account to the UK wallet with your third party provider
  4. Convert the funds to your local currency (via the third party)
  5. Transfer the newly converted funds to your personal bank
