Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

This modern slavery and human trafficking statement is published voluntarily by Terranova Network Limited, trading as GetGround, inclusive of its subsidiaries (together, the GetGround Group, “the Group”, “we”, “our”).

Whilst under section 56 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we are not legally required to publish a modern slavery statement, we have chosen to do so because we believe that all businesses, regardless of size, have a responsibility to take reasonable steps to identify and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in their operations and supply chains.

About us

GetGround is a UK-based property investment platform offering a suite of services to buy-to-let investors, including company formation, accounting and tax, credit brokerage, lettings and management. These services are delivered through a single digital platform, enabling landlords to manage their property investments in one place. We support domestic and overseas landlords in managing UK property investment.

The Group employs approximately 85 people across two locations: our UK headquarters and a team based in the Philippines, employed through a local entity and subject to the same Group-wide policies and employment standards as our UK workforce.

Our structure and supply chain

As a technology-driven platform, our supply chain is limited in scope. Our principal suppliers are software-as-a-service (SaaS) and infrastructure service providers, covering areas such as cloud hosting, artificial intelligence, CRM and KYC/AML. These are established businesses operating within recognised regulatory and compliance frameworks.

As part of our partnership network, we also maintain relationships with other businesses operating within the real estate and financial services sectors. These include mortgage brokerage firms, estate agents, wealth managers and UK property developers. All partners are subject to robust due diligence processes, covered below.

We do not manufacture goods, use raw materials, or engage in labour-intensive supply chains of the type most commonly associated with modern slavery risk. We consider the inherent risk of modern slavery within our direct operations and primary supply chain to be low, though we recognise that no organisation can consider itself entirely without exposure.

Our policies

We operate with a zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking, and other unethical practices or financial crime. Our commitment to responsible business is set out across our business policies, including:

  • Anti-bribery and corruption policy: sets out our zero-tolerance approach to financial crime and ethical misconduct across the Group.
  • Whistleblowing policy: provides a confidential reporting mechanism through which employees can raise concerns about misconduct, including any suspected exploitation or unethical treatment of workers, without fear of retaliation.
  • Supplier due diligence: all suppliers are subject to onboarding checks that include brand, reputational, and adverse media screening. Modern slavery risk forms part of the broader ethical and reputational assessment applied during this process.

Our people

We are committed to fair and ethical employment practices across the Group. All employees, including those in our Philippines team, are directly employed and subject to Group-wide employment standards. We are committed to ensuring that all team members receive fair remuneration in line with or above local market standards, and benefit from the same Group-wide wellbeing provisions, including mental health support days, medical insurance, and staff community events.

We conduct regular employee engagement surveys across the Group through our Pulse Survey programme, the results of which help us monitor workforce wellbeing and identify any concerns at an early stage.

Due diligence and risk assessment

We assess modern slavery risk as part of our broader supplier onboarding process, incorporating reputational and adverse media checks for new suppliers, and review of modern slavery statements, where applicable.

We will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in modern slavery and human trafficking. This extends to existing suppliers, where we will cease our relationship.

Our commitment going forward

As our business and processes scale, we are committed to strengthening our approach over time. This includes an annual review of this statement to monitor progress and effectiveness against our business and risk environment.

This statement is made voluntarily, in support of the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
