Syncing Your Transactions

Syncing Your Transactions

We use open banking to securely sync transactions from your connected bank account. Once you link an account, we automatically pull in your transaction history and keep it up to date so your records stay current.

How syncing works

When you first connect an account through open banking, we retrieve your available transaction history and then refresh it on an ongoing basis. New transactions typically appear within a short time of your bank making them available. Depending on your bank, the initial sync of your full history can take a little longer to complete.

Why you need to reconnect every 90 days

Open banking rules require you to re-authorise your bank connection at least once every 90 days. This is a security measure set by your bank and open banking regulations, not something we can extend on our end.

When your 90-day authorisation is due to expire, we’ll prompt you to reconnect. Reconnecting confirms your consent and keeps your transactions syncing without interruption. If you don’t reconnect in time, syncing will pause until you re-authorise the connection.

If you don’t see all your synced transactions

Occasionally you may notice that some transactions haven’t come through, or that your history looks incomplete. If this happens, we recommend disconnecting and re-establishing the connection:

  1. Go to your connected accounts settings.
  2. Disconnect the affected bank account.
  3. Reconnect the same account and complete the open banking authorisation with your bank.

Re-establishing the connection triggers a fresh sync and usually resolves any missing or incomplete transactions.
