Tenants and Landlords

Understand how tenants are vetted, what to do if issues arise, and the process for tenancy renewals or ending management.

How are tenants referenced and approved?

LRG references tenants using Goodlord, a specialist referencing and tenant onboarding platform. This includes:

  • Previous landlord references
  • Employment references
  • Credit history
  • Right to Rent compliance

What happens if a tenant is unresponsive after moving in?

LRG will proactively attempt to contact the tenant via phone, email, and letter. If the matter remains unresolved, we will keep you fully informed and discuss the best course of action together, which may include legal steps.

How do I renew a tenancy?

To renew a tenancy with LRG, you will be contacted typically 2–3 months before the tenancy end date. You can choose from three options:

  • Fixed-term renewal – a new fixed-term contract with the existing tenant
  • Rolling periodic tenancy – the tenancy continues on a month-to-month basis
  • Remarketing – the property is listed to find a new tenant

What happens if I want to terminate management?

To terminate management, please provide notice in line with your Terms of Business (TOB) agreement. We ask that any outstanding invoices are settled in full before the transition is completed. If you would like to discuss termination, please contact your dedicated property manager directly.
