Understanding Open Banking
What is Open Banking?
Open Banking is a secure way to connect your bank account to trusted third-party providers. With your explicit permission, GetGround can receive account information directly from your bank — without you needing to share passwords or enter transactions manually.
For landlords, this means property income and expenses can flow automatically into the GetGround platform, even if you use a separate bank account. You won’t need to enter transactions manually, saving time and reducing errors.
Is Open Banking safe?
Yes. Your finances remain private, and you never have to share any information unless you choose to. Your bank will only share details if you explicitly give permission, and no one can access your accounts without it.
GetGround uses Yapily, a provider regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, to manage this process with bank-grade encryption and security. Both Yapily and GetGround follow strict security procedures to protect your information. You can review Yapily's security certifications for full details.
When you give consent, your bank processes the request securely and only shares the information you have agreed to.
