What to do if you’re a victim of APP fraud?
Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud occurs when you are tricked into authorising a payment to a fraudster, often by someone impersonating a trusted organisation.
If you believe you have been a victim of APP fraud, contact us or your payment provider (e.g. Modulr) right away with as much information on the situation as you can.
You can either reach our support team at support@getground.com, or call us on +442045257714.
Then report the scam (call 0300 123 2040 if you’re in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland, call Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or report online at the Action Fraud website. If you’re in Scotland, call 101 to speak to the police). You can also report scams on Action Fraud’s website.
Since 7 October 2024, eligible customers are entitled to reimbursement under the Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud reimbursement rules in the UK.
Together with our account provider Modulr FS Limited, we have put together an information pack to help you understand when and how you are protected - Right to Reimbursement Explainer.
