Designing Your Limited Company

You are in full control over the design of your company using our platform to quickly set it up

It takes just twenty minutes to design a company through the GetGround platform. You can get started right away by going to this link. To make the process easier, we recommend having your passport and details of any other properties you might own handy.

Creating a new company

Log into your dashboard and select "Add to Portfolio" and click on "Set up a new company"

To create a new company, press "Select " under the "Create a new limited company" option.

Step 1 - Designing your new company

Choosing your company structure

At GetGround, you can choose between setting up a holding company structure or a standalone SPV. If you have questions about the particular company structures, you can use our built-in GG AI.

As soon as you have decided which structure you would like, at bottom of the page, you will see an option to "Create" your new limited company. 

Choose your limited company name

If you are setting up a standalone SPV, you can choose a custom name or use a "GG-XXX-XXX Limited" name by default. Our default company names are well-known within the industry. 

Adding a new subsidiary to your hold-co structure? You can simply select the 'Add to pre-existing holding company'

Adding your shareholders 

In order for us to incorporate your limited company, we need to know what structure you are looking to set up. 

From here, you can add any other Directors/Shareholders to your company. Once confirmed, we will send out an email to the added shareholders in order for them to start the same sign-up process as you.

  • If you are the only shareholder, please select "I am investing alone".
  • If you are not the only shareholder, please select "I am investing with others".


You will then be able to create the share structure you desire by filling out the section with the director/shareholder information. 

Once you are happy with the structure, press "Confirm changes" and move onto the next stage.

Please make sure your share structure is correct as we may charge for any additional changes once the company has been incorporated

Your Solicitor information

If you have a solicitor, you can use this stage to enter in their details. This will help make the process smoother if we need to communicate with your solicitor.

Do not have a solicitor? We can refer one to you! 

Confirm your company set-up

Please use this time to review your company set-up and make sure everything is exactly how you want it. You will be able to change company details in the future but we do charge administration fees for our services when carrying out these tasks. 

To confirm, please select "My company details are correct".

Step 2 - Adding your property details

Locating your property

To get started, select "Add a property" and you will be presented with three options

Choose the option most relevant to you. It's okay, you can change this at any time. 

If you do have a property in mind, you can enter the property address in the address finder. If you are happy this is the property you are purchasing, select "Confirm property and continue".

Entering your property details

When completing the property details form, you’ll need to fill in the following information:

  1. Price of Property

    Enter the total purchase price of the property in pounds (£).

  2. Estimated Monthly Rent

    Provide an estimate of how much rent you expect to receive from tenants each month.

  3. Mortgage Use

    Indicate whether you’re using a mortgage to help fund the purchase.

    • Select Yes if part of the purchase is being financed through a mortgage.

    • Select No if you’re funding the purchase entirely through other means.

     

  4. Source of Your Funds

    From the dropdown menu, select where your contribution (e.g. deposit or full payment) is coming from. This might include savings, sale of another property, inheritance, etc.

  5. Expected Completion Date

    Choose the date you expect the property purchase to complete. If unsure, check with your solicitor or developer.

    • You’re buying the property as an investment to rent out.

    • No one related to you (such as family members) will live in or use the property.

Step 3 - Setting up your payment

The monthly subscription

You will need to set up your monthly subscription in order to complete your setup. You will be able to view the subscription cover on this page. If you are happy to continue, you can confirm and move forward. 

The one-time company set-up fee

For setting up your company, we charge a one-time fee for our services. In order to progress with the company set up, please enter your payment details and press 'pay' to finish the setup. 

What's next?

Now you have completed your set-up, our onboarding team will begin to finalise our checks and have the company incorporated within 1-2 working days.
